Distribution and habitat

Rio Ampiyacu-drainage, Peru.

I collected this species in the wild in 2006, only a 30 minutes walk from the town of Pebas, Peru.

My Experience

Dispite of (or because of) the impressive size, quite peaceful.

Breeding

Breeds easy in soft water and a pH of 5 - 6 ( up to 7).

I haven't seen any polygamous behavior, simply because I don't have many females !
