My Experience

In my aquariums the males look almost like they do in Daniel's picture from when it was first found. But when I take a picture with flash, (my aquariums are quite dark) much of the blue on the head is shown as yellow-green. Strange.

They arrived here ultimo August 2022, and have adapted very well to my tanks and water.

Breeding

The fish arrived in my aquariums at the end of August 2022. Only 10 days later one of the pairs spawned, and a week later the female proudly showed off a good bunch of fry!
First time ever in captivity.
Just a week later another female in another tank brought out fry too!
