Distribution and habitat
I have collected this species in the Río Tapiche drainage, as well as in two locations in the Río Gálvez drainage,
Loreto district, Peru.
My Experience
Surprisingly little aggression within a group of fish in a 160 liters tank (with a lot of structures, plants and wood)
Breeding
Polygamous, but do well in pairs too.
Breeds easy as long as the water is soft and quite acid.
